on Thursday 28/05/15, between 11.00 and 16.30 hrs, a property on Cliff Way was burgled. The unknown persons gained entry through a rear window and have stolen various items, including jewellery.

At its May meeting, the council as required by law, elected its chairman and appointed its committees for the coming 12 months. Among other items covered were follow-up to points raised at the Annual Parish Meeting in April, new equipment for the QE II Playing Field, planning policy and a possible new bench in Compton Street.

The council took a decision on new equipment for the QE II Playing Field in Compton Street, reviewed a recent survey of the parish hall caretaker’s cottage, and learned that the rector had agreed that the PCC would take over responsibility for the Civic Service. They agreed to oppose the Boundary Commission’s draft ward proposals.
