Family Fun Day at Compton School Sunday 17 May, 2015 12noon to 3pm. Lots of activities for all the family to enjoy while helping to raise money for the school library.
At its May meeting, the council as required by law, elected its chairman and appointed its committees for the coming 12 months. Agenda for the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council, when the Council must elect its Chair, Vice-Chair and committees for the coming year. CS PC submission to Boundary Commission review. We recommend that Compton & Otterbourne ward be joined with Olivers Battery & Badger Farm ward to form a new 3-member ward. We explain why this is a better solution than the Boundary Commission’s proposal.

The council took a decision on new equipment for the QE II Playing Field in Compton Street, reviewed a recent survey of the parish hall caretaker’s cottage, and learned that the rector had agreed that the PCC would take over responsibility for the Civic Service. They agreed to oppose the Boundary Commission’s draft ward proposals.

The PC’s January meeting will be held in All Saints’ School, Compton. As always, the meeting is open to all, but please be punctual. Topics include the budget for 2015/16, strategy for future development on the Memorial Playing Field, and parking on the Shawford Road.
