Annual Parish MeetingsApril 2007Annual Parish AssemblyThe Annual Parish Assembly is due to take place on Wednesday, 25th April 2007 at Shawford Parish Hall. An Annual Report from the Parish Council will be distributed to every household within the Parish together with a copy of the Agenda. There will be two joint Keynote speakers - Mr Peter Betts speaking on the activities of the Parish Plan Project and Mr. Keith Wood, Planning Portfolio Holder, Winchester City Council who will speak upon the place of Parish Plans within the Planning Process. All Parishioners are welcome to attend the Annual Parish Assemble and raise any issue of relevance. February 2006Parish Council Annual ReportIn advance of the Annual Parish Assembly due on the 26th April 2006, it was agreed that the Parish Council will produce its Annual Report for distribution to every household in the Parish. It is hoped that by this means, increased interest in the work of the Parish Council will be engendered within the Parish. April 2003Annual Parish AssemblyPreparations for the Annual Parish Assembly to be held on Wednesday 30th April 2003 are well under way. Councillor Adrian Walmsley had done an excellent job in compiling a "Newsletter" which will be distributed to every household in the Parish. As in previous years, this "Newsletter" outlines the activities of the Parish Council over the past twelve months and serves as a useful information document, which will make the Annual Parish Assembly a more informative meeting. January 2003Annual Parish AssemblyIt was decided to hold the Annual Parish Assembly on Wednesday 30th April 2003 at the Parish Hall. The Council will invite David Attwell, Chairman of Winchester City Council Planning Committee as a Guest Speaker. March 2002from the April 2002 Parish Magazine: Annual Parish AssemblyInitial discussions took place with regard to the Annual Parish Assembly, which is due to take place on Wednesday 24th April 2002. April 2001April 2000Annual Parish MeetingThe Annual Parish Meeting will be held in the Parish Hall on Tuesday 2 May 2000 starting at 7.30pm. Your councillors will report on progress during the past year and plans for the future. There will be time for you to ask questions and make comments. It is hoped as many as possible will attend so that your views can be heard. February 2000Dates of meetingsThis is an election year for the Parish Council, with elections on the first Thursday in May (May 4th). The Annual Parish Council meeting, at which the chairman, vice chairman and subcommittees have to be voted in for the coming year, will therefore be moved to the second Tuesday of May (May 9th) instead of the first Tuesday of the month as would be normal. The Annual Parish Meeting, which is usually held in the second half of April, will be on Tuesday May 2nd to avoid the two weeks either side of this year's late Easter. Meeting notices will be distributed to all households. May 1999Matters raised at the Annual Parish Meeting 29 April.Following submission of Ms A-M McCarthy that she was unaware of any formal decision to have a further referendum on the pavilion issue, it was proposed by Ann Kelly that a referendum be held, seconded by Mr E W Beckett, and carried by 35 in favour and 22 against. Following a proposal by Mr G Beckett, it was also resolved, by a vote of 49 for and 1 against, that the referendum ask parishioners to approve the Parish Council plans of the pavilion as regards size, funding, position and design as advised with a Yes' or alternative 'No' only.
