It was agreed that CASCA be allowed to place an additional notice board on the wall of the Parish Hall, next to the existing Parish Council notice board. It was considered by most Councillors that it is important for the Parish Council to retain a notice board at the Parish Hall.
The Notice Boards around the Parish have been examined and a project initiated to renovate/replace them where considered appropriate.
As no other suggestions have been received for part-funded projects, the Council has decided to apply for part funding for three more parish notice boards, to complement the handsome new boards which have recently been installed outside the Post Office in Attwoods Drove and on the Memorial Playing Field. The new boards are locked and the council will post, on each of them, details of where to apply for a key if you want to put a notice on them.
Delivery has been taken of two new noticeboards which will be installed outside Compton Stores and the other on the Memorial Playing Field, near the post box.
Because of the expense of continually repairing vandalised noticeboards, it was agreed to seek parishioners’ views about the removal of one more of the 7 notice boards.
