Parish Hall Centenary Celebration 1996
It was reported that 28 people had attended the
preliminary meeting on 14th November, and that a
committee would shortly be formed to formulate
proposals. The Parish Council will consider the extent to
which the event could be subsidised
January 1996
Parish Hall Centenary Celebration -
December 1996
Cllr Jean Millar will hold a meeting at the end of January
to form a committee and formulate proposals regarding
events and displays to be mounted by the Council and
local organisations.
February 1996
Cllr Mrs Millar reported on the meeting on 23 January
when a draft schedule of events for the centenary week
was agreed. Next meeting 27 Feb. Agreed that the
matter of the Parish Council contribution to the event be
left until after the Parish Council Election in May.
January 1997
Parish Hall Centenary Celebrations
have been a great success with participation from so many parts of the community. We plan to give a small memento to the main organisers and contributors.
February 1997
Parish Hall Centenary Celebrations
The Parish Council expressed their unanimous thanks to the authors of the Centenary Celebrations Review published in January’s Parish Magazine and echoed their thanks to all who had contributed to make the Centenary such a success.
