Details of the forthcoming Civic Service to be held on the 28th October were discussed. The Reverend Dr. Roland Riem, Cannon Pastor and Missioner, Winchester Cathedral, will be officiating at the Church Service, which will be followed by a Reception at Compton School.
Invitations to the Civic Service to be held on Sunday 16th October 2005 had been sent out. The Reception after the Service will be held in Compton Primary School.
Members were advised that this year's Civic Service being hosted by Otterbourne Parish Council is to be held on the 17th October 2004 and the Remembrance Service will be held on the 14th November 2004.

The Civic Service is to be held on Sunday 26th October 2003 and all preparations are in hand. The Mayor of Eastleigh, the Mayor of Winchester together with the local Member of Parliament will be attending.
A good response to the Invitations for the Civic Service was reported. The Civic Service is to be held at All Saints Church, Compton, on the 21st October 2001 and is jointly organised by the Parish Council's of Compton and Shawford together with Otterbourne.
The invitations for the Civic Service to be held on 21st October 2001 at The Parish Church of All Saints, Compton, are being sent out this week. The reception after the Civic Service will be held in the Compton Primary School with refreshments being provided by the Ladies Fellowship.
This year's Civic Service will be held at Otterbourne [Editor's note: on 1 October]. All parishioners are welcome to attend.
This year it is our turn to host the annual joint Civic Service of the parishes of Compton & Shawford and Otterbourne. Since the Parish Council meeting we have received a letter from the Rector suggesting that the service be held on October 12th.
